Summer festivals in Madrid

The famous festivals of Madrid come back for another summer to liven up the city streets with a full program that includes parades, lights, live music and the best of the atmosphere!

From the 1st to the 15th of August, enjoy with your family a unique experience that combines tradition with modernity with San Cayetano, San Lorenzo and La Virgen de la Paloma festivals.

The first one is San Cayetano festivities, which will take place from the 1st to the 5th of August, an appointment that will include the traditional lemonade, mus or toad in the hole tournaments, popular dances, children’s workshops and concerts, and the official announcement.

From the 8th to the 12th of August, the festivities move to the Lavapiés district with San Lorenzo festivals, which are considered by many as one of the most authentic.

The festivals will end with la Virgen de la Paloma, the most famous in Madrid, which will take place in La Latina district from the 11th to the 15th of August. These are the festivities that welcome everyone to enjoy traditional “chotis” dance, pasodoble contests, water fights, storytellers and other children’s activities, micro-theaters and live music concerts.
