Family time in Easter

Easter is the perfect time to live different activities in family, whether they are related to history or nature (even both at the same time!). That allows you to learn while enjoying good moments outdoors. These are our proposals:

-Real Botanical Garden, 20 minutes walk from URSO Hotel. Taking advantage of the arrival of spring, nothing better than enjoying a stroll through these well-tended gardens, a secluded place in the center of the city with the largest variety of botany in the capital. It has a herbarium with more than one million sheets, the library and the archive with about 10,000 drawings and a sample of 5,000 plant species.

-Pass on board the Felipe II Train. Enjoy an exciting trip to ancient times, a special way to know the history and monumental wealth of El Escorial aboard the Train of Felipe II, a locomotive and passenger cars of the twentieth century, which will make this trip become a whole experience, almost worthy of kings!

-The Farm of San Ildefonso. This palace, summer resort of Felipe V and his family, has been the scene of historical Spanish events, as well as the good times lived by the Royal Family and the Court. Today you can visit both the palace and its beautiful Baroque gardens, which have more than 70,000 specimens of plants, numerous fountains and an authentic labyrinth.

-Real Site of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. A town full of history, charm and elegance in the midst of exceptional natural surroundings. It has a large number of monuments, including the Royal Monastery, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 and considered the eighth wonder of the world, the Historical Gardens or the Chair of Philip II, a natural observatory from which to contemplate the Monastery while enjoying the wonders that nature hides, at Guadarrama Mountain Range.

This Holy Week, we wait for you in URSO Hotel to enjoy with your family unique experiences in Madrid and surroundings.
